    Must buy to ensure the safety of yourself and employees. Slip resistant shoes don’t cut it, another tool to help reduce workers comp, or losing out on money due to a slip and fall.     I honestly didn’t know what to expect. When the mat arrived in the shipping tube, I noticed they put a sample of the product on the tube. And a smaller sample inside the tube. It made sense with samples in hand. I believe another review stated that it reminded him of installing a screen saver on a smart phone. I have to agree with that statement. The process was exactly the same. I also have to admit that I usually try to rush through projects. My 20yr old vynil flooring is a poor representation of the appearance of the SafetyMat product. I included a couple pictures to give you somewhat of an idea what it looks like. The version I ordered is clear. But their website has more options. I did pour water onto the mat to test for slip hazard. Unfortunately it’s pretty slick when its wet.

    This has the weight and feel of cheap cardstock with a peel off backing like contact paper. It arrived in a super sturdy (U-Line) mailing tube that likely cost more than the item it held. I’ve not installed it as yet because of the directions, which are near identical to the directions of twenty years ago for applying a screen protector to you phone. Float the surface, start the peeling off process, adjust your angle, then spend a couple days with a spatula to scrape the bubbles out of the middle to the edge to get rid of them. On a three by six inch phone screen, not a big problem, but something this size? Hope you have a high threshold for frustration. Feeling the surface of it, I’m a little concerned that it will be somewhat slick on top; it’s glued to your floor, so it won’t skid, buy I worry that if I hit it just right while wearing socks, I might have an unscheduled meeting with the floor. It probably works for some applications for some people, just not for me.

This mat can be applied with relative ease using a window tint applicator solution, though it can be applied without it, albeit with a higher likelihood of air bubbles.

    Following a thorough cleaning of the tub’s bottom surface, I applied the tint solution to both the application surface and the adhesive side of the mat. Subsequently, after positioning the mat on the tub’s base, I utilized a squeegee to expel the liquid, starting from the center of the mat and moving outwards towards the edges. The tub was ready for use within one day.

    See my video review! Unfortunately this mat is exceptionally overpriced. Over $60 for a very simple clear sticker for the bottom of your bathtub. I wouldn’t be disappointed if it had more texture to it, but once I got it I realized my cheap plastic tub that my 16 month old slips in while trying to stand actually already came with in-built slight texture on the bottom that is barely perceptible and this sticker is the exact same – barely textured at all and would hardly prevent a fall in my opinion.

    4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Low Profile and Clear, but Watch Those Edges

    Since this mat uses peel-and-stick technology instead of suction cups, it sits completely flush against the tub. This gives you a much cleaner, seamless look, and more importantly, it means no more “scuba diving” to scrub Moisture-Resistant out of suction cups. The clear vinyl is great because it lets your tile show through without being an eyesore.

    However, I did run into a bit of a snag during the install. I noticed that the glue on the edges that were not covered by the protective sheet isn’t sticking as effectively as the rest of the mat. It’s a bit worrying because if those edges don’t seal perfectly, water is eventually going to get under there and start peeling the whole thing up. When it works, it’s a great, ultra-thin hygienic solution, but you definitely have to be careful during that initial peel to make sure the adhesive is actually going to grab.

I wouldn’t be disappointed if it had more texture to it, but once I got it I realized my cheap plastic tub that my 16 month old slips in while trying to stand actually already came with in-built slight texture on the bottom that is barely perceptible and this sticker is the exact same – barely textured at all and would hardly prevent a fall in my opinion.

    Since this mat uses peel-and-stick technology instead of suction cups, it sits completely flush against the tub. This gives you a much cleaner, seamless look, and more importantly, it means no more “scuba diving” to scrub Moisture-Resistant out of suction cups. The clear vinyl is great because it lets your tile show through without being an eyesore.

    However, I did run into a bit of a snag during the install. I noticed that the glue on the edges that were not covered by the protective sheet isn’t sticking as effectively as the rest of the mat. It’s a bit worrying because if those edges don’t seal perfectly, water is eventually going to get under there and start peeling the whole thing up. When it works, it’s a great, ultra-thin hygienic solution, but you definitely have to be careful during that initial peel to make sure the adhesive is actually going to grab.

    Excellent grip without being bulky or unattractive. The clear design blends into the tub nicely, and the suction cups hold firmly in place.
